Music has been part of Christine Navarro’s life for as long as she can remember, but songwriting is where she feels most at home. Her songs tend to begin with something that catches her attention—a relationship, a realization, a memory, an old house—and follow it wherever it leads.

Christine writes thoughtful, personal lyrics with a healthy dose of wit and a willingness to find humor in some of life’s less-than-perfect moments. Whether a song is playful or poignant, she values honest storytelling and the connection that happens when someone hears a lyric and recognizes a little of their own life in it.

A singer-songwriter and independent recording artist in the Portland, Oregon area, Christine released her original song *It Used to Be* in 2026 and is currently recording more of her original music at her home studio, Old House Studios. Her music is available on Spotify and other major streaming services.

Christine also enjoys supporting and collaborating with other independent musicians through Influence Music Hall, where she has been involved for many years.

Her collection of instruments has expanded somewhat beyond what is strictly necessary. Favorites include her Martin acoustic, Fender Stratocaster and keyboards. There is also a rather sentimental 1970s Epiphone acoustic that once cost her father $10 at a garage sale—and has recently found its way onto a recording.

Mostly, though, Christine makes music for the same reason she always has: she loves it. Writing, playing and recording remain her favorite creative outlets and, as she likes to say, help keep her more or less sane.
